拍品描述: GENERAL CAVAIGNAC (1802-1857) Deux documents officiels signés, 1848 Louis Eugène Cavaignac (1802-1857), Général et homme d'état fran?ais, Gouverneur d'Algérie (1848) puis président du Conseil des ministres chargé du pouvoir exécutif durant l'année 1848. Candidat à l'élection présidentielle de 1848, il est battu par Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte. Deux documents à l’entête de ? République Fran?aise, au nom du Peuple Fran?ais, Pouvoir Exécutif ?, l’un daté du 10 juillet 1848 invitant le Ministre de la Justice, l’autre daté du 17 ao?t 1848 invitant le Ministre de la Guerre. Provenance : Sotheby's London, 7th December 2000 & Private collection, Monte-Carlo. Louis Eugène Cavaignac (1802-1857), General and French statesman, Governor of Algeria (1848) then president of the Council of Ministers in charge of executive power during the year 1848. Candidate for the presidential election of 1848, he is beaten by Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte. Two documents headed by "French Republic, in the name of the French People, Executive Power", one dated July 10, 1848 inviting the Minister of Justice, the other dated August 17, 1848 inviting the Minister of War.
