A Mino Seki katanaMuromachi period (1333-1573), dated 1538With honzukuri, iorimune configuration and wide mihaba, an extended kissaki and toriizori curvature, forged in itame hada mixed with mokume hada and with an active gunome midare tempered edge with sections of choji midare, reaching up to the shinogi in places, with nie and nioi, sunagashi, inazuma and yo, ending in a midare komi boshi with some hakikake, both sides carved with goma bashi, the ubu tang with two holes, indistinct file marks and katana mei Seki no ju Kanenori saku and dated Tenbun nananen hachigatsu kichijitsu (An auspicious day in the eight month of 1538), with a one-piece gilt-copper habaki, 29 3/4in (75.5cm) long, in a wood shirasaya storage scabbard
