Edo period (1615-1868), 18th centuryForged in three sections with wrinkles on the forehead and cheeks, and prominent eyebrows hammered up in relief, the bulbous nose plate attached with hinges, with two cord rings on the cheeks and two cord pegs on the chin, the top edge pierced with small holes to attach a hood, applied with a boar-bristle mustache, the interior lacquered red; fitted with a two-lame yodarekake lacquered black and attached with doe skin
