Large Cloisonné Tray, Japan, Meiji period, rectangular form with rounded corners, decorated with peonies and chrysanthemums against a turquoise blue ground in a bamboo-stalk-inspired frame, the base with flowerheads and foliate scrolls, unsigned but possibly by Namikawa Yasuyuki, 10 1/4 x 14 in. Estimate $2,000-3,000 minor tarnishing to copper frame, minor enameling flaws to base. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
