MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Depicting figures engaged in a variety of activities: one an okimono--style netsuke of three painters fighting with their brushes; another two boys playing with a frog and a turtle; a third carved as a mirror polisher; the others depicting men at leisure or working, some with signatures including Tomohisa, Gyokuzan, Gyokuji, Hidemasa, Hideaki, Ryuraku, and Ryomin, 6.4cm max.
