潘天壽(1886－1971)，浙江寧海人，中國現代美術家、美術教育家。擅長中國畫、書法、篆刻、詩文、美術史論。原名「天授」，字「大頤」，號「阿壽」，又號「壽者」。潘天寿又以性懶別署曰「懶禿」，曰「朽居士」。生於浙江省寧海縣，卒於杭州。擅書、畫，能詩，兼工治印。書則篆、隸、行、草俱能，尤以行草，疏疏斜斜，有黃石齋之風。 紙本、設色、鏡心。 畫心尺寸：長度：95釐米，寬度：41釐米。 潘天寿是20世纪中国绘画史中第一位旗帜鲜明地主张中西绘画拉开距离，并在创作中展示了中国画审美新境界的突出人物。潘天寿的绘画筆墨蒼古、凝鍊老辣，是一种倾向的开端，一个运动的肇始。 Painting in Chinese ink “sleeping birds”by "Pan Tianshou"- China -early 20th century. Original signed by the artist"Pan Tianshou" who born in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province, Han Nationality, is a well-known Chinese painting artist, collector and an outstanding social activist. "Pan Tianshou" is proficient in sketching flowers, birds, mountains and rivers, makes paintings on figures occasionally while making calligraphy in the mean time, especially finger ink. "Pan Tianshou" is one of the most famous artists in Chinese painting history and he is an important representative person in the Chinese painting history of 20 century, and his drawing style is one kind of tendency beginning, a movement initiation.
