拍品描述: 1943 Auschwitz Concentration Camp Letter from Waclaw Piotrowski to his mother. This lot comprises a complete rare letter written by Waclaw Piotrowski in 1943 in Auschwitz Concentration Camp to his mother in Posen (Poznan) in Poland. The letter is written in German as required by the regulations and a translation is included with this lot. He refers to the heat and "yesterday we had a special court. A judge with a whistle...". The heat gives me a lot of work with my heart" "Yesterday a comrade from the labour camp died" "I am sending you a voucher for a food parcel. Please send me sugar, margarine, onions and fat". Included with this lot are notes from the German Jewish Family Archive relating to an earlier letter send in 1942 by Waclaw to his mother including a full translation of that letter and the regulations relating to the sending and receipt of letters and parcels.?
