A French gold mounted and glass scent bottle, the rectangular clear glass bottle with stepped shoulders, with foliate embossed and chased neck mount and similarly designed hinged lid, missing stopper. Possible French eagle guarantee mark. Length 3.5 (9cm). Appears in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. A couple of small holes. Hinged lid appears in good working order. Missing stopper. The glass has minor nicks and edge nibbles. Metal tests around 22 karat. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver, gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
