the shaped and pierced mount of tri-form, decorated with cherubs amidst scrolling foliate detail, supporting five cable chains and four associated accessories, comprising a small mother-of-pearl folding pen knife and a silver whistle, hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1889, a silver circular pin cushion, hallmarks worn and indistinct, and a silver vesta case with embossed foliate decoration, hallmarked George Unite, Birmingham 1890; the chatelaine hallmarked King & Son, London 1888. Length approximately 12 (30.5cm) including chain and accessories, gross weight 4.63 ozt (144.3 grams). With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.Chatelaine with a number of splits and breaks, and visible solder repairs, particularly visible verso. Clip to verso with visible solder where clip meets body of chatelaine, and suspension rings mounting chains appear to have been re-soldered to body of chatelaine. Pin cushion with a number of knocks and indentations, and misshapen.
