A group of assorted silver items, comprising a five bar toast rack with central handle and raised upon a stretcher base with four corner feet, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1902, plus a silver mounted table cigarette box with engine turned decoration to the hinged cover, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1975, an early 20th century silver part fluted footed dish, with Danish assay mark and assay master mark for Christian F. Heise, and a blue glass pot with Eastern silver lid and saucer. Weighable silver 14.64 ozt (455.6 grams). With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.Toast rack bars slightly misshapen and central handle with visible solder repairs. Heavily tarnished. Cigarette box with a few small indentations.Danish bowl with knock to foot, and bowl slightly unsteady as a result. Edge of bowl slightly misshapen in places.Glass pot with scratches and a few nicks to edges. Silver cover and saucer with some small indentations throughout. Silver cover tests around 96% Ag and saucer around 89% Ag.Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver, gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
