A sterling silver part canteen by Birks, comprising eight table knives, seven table forks, two table spoons, eight soup spoons, six pastry knives, seven pastry forks and seven teaspoons, in the Louis XV pattern. Each marked Birks Sterling. Length of table knives 9.75 (25cm), weight excluding knives 39.72 ozt (1235.6 grams). With varying degrees of scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.With nicks and pitting, and some small knocks.One pastry knife with damage and break to ferrule where blade meets handle, and blade is detached. Forks have nicks to prongs, and some prongs bent and misshapen in places. Some fork stems appear to be slightly bent. Spoons with some knocks to edges of bowls, and some stems bent. Two teaspoons with splits to stems, and one with visible solder to split. Blades of knives are stainless steel. Group lot, sold as seen.
