A pair of 1930's silver sauce boats, each of typical oval bellied form, with gadroon rim, flying scroll handle and raised on three pad feet, in original fitted case. Hallmarked Ollivant & Botsford, Birmingham 1936. Length 6.5 (16.5 cm), weight 8.65 ozt (269 grams). Both appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing consistent with the age and use.Both with some heavier scratched marks and nicks to interiors. One sauce boat with a couple of dints to the edge of the pouring lip and possible solder repair at the join of the handle. The other with some surface dints to the curved section of the main body below the handle.Hallmarks clear and legible with some light rubbing. Also with impressed maker's mark. The box has a fairly worn and dirty appearance with some scuffs, losses and fading.
