A late Victorian silver sugar caster, the wrythen baluster body to a circular footed base and chased with flowers, leaves and scroll motifs surrounding a vacant scrolled cartouche, the removable cover with foliate pierced spiral panels and conforming wrythen finial. Hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1892. Height to finial 8.5 (21.5cm), weight 6.57 ozt (204.4 grams). Displaying some general expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A couple of minor dints to main body and very slight compression to foot. Some surface rubbing and slight flattening to areas of the decoration but generally ok. Some further dints and knocks to lid. Appears a good tight fit to main body. Hallmarks located just below rim and repeated to lid, these in good order. Maker's marks partly rubbed but still clearly legible.
