A 19th century French silver mustard pot, the circular openwork form with reeded borders enclosing palmette motifs, with a zoomorphic handle and hinged lid with cone finial opening to a removable clear glass liner, assay marks for Paris 1819-1838 and 950 fineness, height 4.25 (11cm). Together with a cased French silver egg cup and matching spoon, Minerva guarantee mark, also 950 standard, and maker's mark for Eugene Lefebvre (Paris 1896-1910). Weight excluding glass 4.78 ozt (149 grams). All pieces appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.Hinged lid to mustard pot appears in good order. Possible repairs at some joins Assay marks to various parts, some rubbing and distortion but mostly legible. Possible maker's mark to reverse of lid, letters D G are visible. Glass liner appears a good fit. Slight knock to rim of egg cup. Some heavier wear and nicks to rounded tip of spoon bowl. Interior of cup and spoon bowl likely once gilded but now faded. Some rubbing and slight distortion to marks but mostly legible. Case is probably original, with some fading, discolouration and dirty marks. Exterior also with some scuffed marks and losses around edges and corners.
