拍品描述: DescriptionCLAUDE a€|MILE SCHUFFENECKER (French 1851-1934) "Seated Peasant Woman" Pastel. Sight: 13 7/8 x 17 1/8 inches; Frame: 22 1/2 x 26 inches. Artist stamp lower right. PROVENANCE: Galerie Berri- Raspail, Paris France label verso upper left corner. Unidentified label under the the gallery label verso. Framer label verso on the bottom right above the frame. CONDITION: In overall good condition. When examined out of the frame the sheet is not laid down but is hinged at the top of the mat with old archival tape. Slight wave to the sheet throughout due to possible exposure to moisture; small area of foxing lower center of the paper right above the mat. Mat burn to the very edges of the sheet. Yellowing to the sheet consistent with age. Would benefit from being reframed. The frame is in very poor condition, the black paint which covers all four edges is severely chipping throughout. Gilt is missing throughout.
