CROCKERY EMBLAZONED WITH THE ORDER OF CARLOS III, C20th.
Porcelain decorated with a central escutcheon of The Cross of the first Command of the Order of Carlos III. Formed of four, 2 x 2 equal symmetrical arms, trimmed with eight golden spheres with blue enamel centres, outlined in white enamel. Between each arm is a gold fleur de lis. There is a central figure with Carlos III's cipher in gold trimmed with two entwined olive branches in green enamel with the motto "VIRTUTI ET MERITO". Above, there is an eyelet to allow the threading of the blue, white and blue ribbon. Total 119 pieces. 6 plates, slightly chipped and one with hairline cracks. Largest tray 50 cm; largest soup tureen, height 24 cm; length 27cm.
