Rising from a small foot ring and with an everted rim, to the outside a fries of thirteen standing leaves rendered with rubies and gold in kundan technique. The number "thirteen" carries a special meaning in Hinduism where the thirteenth day of every Hindu month is dedicated to Shiva. On these days a ritual involving small morsels of food (prasad) is performed, invoking the deity to destroy negative tendencies.
