Large lapis lazuli box; the lid applied with four highly polished matched pieces of the finest lapis, arranged to create a radiating diamond pattern of shimmering silvery pyrite clouds with soft white calcite inclusions, on a rich royal blue ground; the natural pattern repeated in a chevron on the front of the box; lined with polished black onyx, with gilt interior fittings, and four hemispherical clear quartz feet; 11 7/8" x 8" x 4 1/4"
