拍品描述: Japanese antique Edo period, 19th century, wooden figure of one of the Seven Lucky Gods, Fukurokuju or Shoulao, the Chinese god of wealth and longevity, with elongated forehead and beard, holding a walking staff and scroll, a ladder rests against his left arm with various figures climbing on the ladder, his head, arms, and shoulders, standing on a base carved to look like rock, guardian figure at his feet, signature to base, approx. 9 by 4 1/4 by 4 inches.
