拍品描述: A hand-coloured aquatint scene of Burma Rangoon. 'The Gold Temple of the principal Idol Guadma taken from it's front being the Eastern face of the Great Pagoda at Rangoon.?Drawn by J.Moore. Published Oct 1 1825 by Kingsbury and Co & Thomas Clay, London. Engraved by G.Hunt. in Teak frame glazed - 55cm x 65cm.? Moore served as a lieutenant in the 89th Regiment during the First Anglo - Burmese War (1824-1826) and provided the first ever pictorial of Burma by a British artist seen by the wider British Public.?
