AN INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
Chen Zhongsan, 1909Of flattened, rounded rectangular form, surmounted by a gently flared neck with flat lip, supported on a slightly splayed foot ring, one side of the interior painted with a scene of Meng Haoran and his attendant searching for the perfect plum blossom, the other side with a katydid and ladybug on a cabbage with a dragonfly hovering above, inscribed with a dedication to brother Shoushan, dated jiyou (1909) and signed Chen Zhongsan followed by a painted seal. 2 3/8in (6cm) high
