拍品描述: Russian tsars collection from Catherine Palace - Floral and Foo Dogs carved amber perfume bottle, Qing Dynasty. Weight: 75.3 g. Height: 9 cm with a cork; Cork is connected to the bone spoon; Provenance: possibly from the collection of Russian Tsars - Romanoff's Dynasty. We bought it from a dealer in St Petersburg, Florida. There are a lot of Russian immigrants in St Petersburg, FL, which moved to USA after 1917 revolution in Russia. The dealer told me this amber bottle is from the Catherine Palace (Russian: ) is a Rococo palace located in the town of Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin), 25 km southeast of St. Petersburg, Russia. It was the summer residence of the Russian tsars.It is interesting that Amber Chamber was located in the same palace.The Amber Room (sometimes known as the Amber Chamber, Russian: Yantarnaya komnata, German: Bernsteinzimmer) in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg is a complete chamber decoration of amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors. We am not sure about the exact provenance, but we know that members of Tsars family used to give a precious presents to their citizens (servants, friends, relatives) for Easter and Christmas.
