拍品描述: KIMONO SCREEN. Japan. 19th/20th c. Kimono silk (yoko ro, twisted war gauze) dyed with y?zen and embroidered. Mounted on a two fold screen. The kimono is decorated with a summerful pattern of hagi bush clover in rimpa style. The individual leaves and flowers are set off in strong colours from the ivory-white background. Many details are embroidered with coloured silk and gold threads. The Rimpa style, originally created in the 17th century, had a second heyday in the 18th and 19th c. Height 192,3cm, width 177cm. Condition A/B. Supplement: Matching storage box.
