Sino Tibetan. 16th/17th c. Copper bronze, repoussé with residue of gilding. At the lower margin two mounting holes. Sitting in padmasana on a lotus throne. Both central hands in anjali mudra in front of the chest, the other hands raised with prayer beads in the right and the stem of a lotus flower in the left. Lotus leafs with figural decoration in such high quality have been used for the lotus base of very large Buddhist figures. Height 16.5cm, width 7.2cm, depth 4cm. Condition A/B.
