Japan. Early to middle Edo period (1603-1868). Sanj?ni ken suji bachi kabuto, black lacquered iron. Gilded tehen no kanamono with delicate details. Back with a kasajiru-no-kan. Six-part shikoro, black lacquer, sugake odoshi in kon-ito. Top lame with gilded hass?-by?. Mabisashi, fukigaeshi and parts of the d? with sh?hei-gawa facing. Inside with ukebari, shinobi-no-o attached at three points. M?gami-d?, black and partly gold lacquered, in sugake odoshi, kon-ito and a gilded brass saihai-no-kan. Inside covered in red lacquer. Below, seven kusazuri. Five in front and side with five lamellae, two in the back with four lamellae. On the back, gattari with ukezutsu. Machiuke missing. Five-part t?sei-sode en suite with kusazuri of the d? and the shikoro of the kabuto. Fukube gote, with tek? hand plates and hiji-gane and ikada (rafts). Etch? haidate. Shino suneate of splint construction with sectional brigandine tateage, black lacquered with kikk? tateage in white fabric. Mempo: Menoshita-b?-ry?bu-men with two orikugi. Lacquered black outside, inside red. Tare with four ribs. Condition B. Supplement: Gusoku bitsu with a golden Ch?kaget?uchiwa mon (Japanes Warrior fan). Restored.
