拍品描述: India. Deccan. 18th/19th c. Bronze, finely engraved. The aquamanile in the shape of a gander stands on two legs on a round, slightly arched base plate with a water pattern in openwork. A dragon-shaped handle was attached, starting from the tail and curved to the funnel-shaped filling opening on the animal's back. A spout in the shape of an elephant's trunk sits in front of the neck. The body of the bird is covered with stylized feathers, the wings are accentuated with long feathers, the lower part is engraved on each side with an image of a bird. Height 32.5cm, length 31cm. Condition A/B.
