拍品描述: East India. Gupta period. 5th/6th c. Low temperature fired ceramic (terracotta) formed by hand. The pair is sitting in loving embrace in a chariot beneath a jeweled canopy carried by columns. Both wear heavy earrings and an array of jewels. Shiva is armed with bow and arrows to commemorate the victorious battle for his Rama. 44x37cm. Condition A/B. Provenance: -Private Collection Hong Kong since 1990. -Thermoluniscence certificate Oxford Authentication N116c43.
