Sino Tibetan. 18th c. Bronze, finely engraved, with residue of gilding and cultic painting. In its appearance as Bodhisattva sitting on a double lotus pedestal in padmasana. The right hand in the gesture of fearlessness (abhaya mudra) and the left in the meditation gesture (dhyana mudra). He wears a five-piece crown and his long hair is tied up to a double knot. His shoulders are covered by a scarf that reaches down to the ground, and his body is adorned with jewelry. The figure is rich in detail and finely crafted, as the hem of the garment exemplifies. There are also remains of an old, possibly original cult painting. Base closed, base plate with engraved double vajra. Weight 426g, height 10.8cm. Condition A/B.
