Korea. Gwangju kilns, Kyonggi province. Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). Dated 1831. Porcelain, painted underglaze blue. Back unglazed with kiln sand adherence. Here only no. 1, no. 3 and no. 4 of the set are preserved. Each plate is inscribed with ten columns on the top and one more column at the right side with the numbering. This type of plates are commemorating the merits and ancestors of a decedent. Here is related to the Honorable Lee Baek-Hyong and written by his great-grandson. Each 21.7x16.9cm. Condition A/B.
