拍品描述: 罕见佛教八宝纹饰柱毯清 18世纪长221cm/宽142cm 柱毯采用羊毛为原料，经纬线为毛。正面垂直方向以线纹分成四列，每列顶端饰华盖，底部为海水江崖图桉，中部内饰四种绶带托佛教八宝。按此毛毯的规制，应用于围裹经堂的廊柱，由于使用过程中光线长期照射，正面颜色有一定程度的氧化，背面应为其本来的橘红颜色。来源：桑德霍夫私人旧藏。参阅：Royal Academy of Arts出版《中国艺术国际展览会》(International Exhibition of Chinese Art)，伦敦1935/6，第2295号。 China. Qing dynasty. 18. Jh. Pile wool, warp and weft cotton. The carpet is divided lengthwise into four columns, in each of which four of the Eight Buddhist Treasures are depicted with swinging ribbons. A canopy is shown at the top of each column, a stylized rock rising from waves and the deep water at the bottom. The shape of the carpet suggests that it was made for the bulbous column in a temple. The colours are a little better preserved on the back and show the orange-red ground tone. 221x142cm. Condition A/B. Provenance: -Collection Sonderhoff, acquiried locally.
