拍品描述: CHINESE MING DYNASTY PERIOD (1368-1644) GILT BRONZE SEATED BUDDHA The figure is finely cast and shown seated in dhyanasana with loosely draped folds of the robe. Hands in Bhumiparsa-Dhyana Mudra gesture of meditation and invoke the earth to truthiness of his words. The robes fall in straight exposing the chest, showing swastika symbol. The face has well-defined, arched brows above elongated, almond-shaped eyes and is framed by the pierced, pendulous ear lobes and the neat edge of the hair, which is arranged in tight curls. Trace of blue pigment on the curled hairs and extensive trace of gilt on surface. Dimension: 8-3/8" H
