Description: IMPORTANT MIRROR Piedmont, mid 18th Century Carved and giltwood mirror frame, with C and S scrolls, on top a lambrequin shell. With original mirror, nails and hangers.?On the back a paper label with ink inscription "Anticamera della Regina", partially worn and traces of other labels now missing.? The mirror, of great?refinement, was originally part of a series realized for one of the Savoy Royal Residences as evidenced by the presence of the label on the back. Probably, as usual, also the reference of inventory numbers, from which it was possible to trace the exact origin and location, were labeled on the verso, as the traces at verso seems to indicate. The arm missing, a transverse linear break in the lower part of the mirror. Minor damages and wear, restorations to gilding. 44.9 x 30.3 in. ?
