The main deity depicted in this thangka is Srog Lha, one of the Five Personal Gods, the other four - Yul Lha, Po Lha, Mo Lha and Dra Lha – depicted in the lower zone of the painting, while in the upper section are different emanations of the Buddha and two wrathful deities. According to popular belief absorbed by Buddhism, this group of deities follow the life of each human being from the birth, positioning in five parts of the body and governing concrete wishes such as health, wealth and good luck.
