拍品描述: Description: FIGURE OF WEI TUO China, 19th-20th Century Carved, dry-lacquered and gilded wood. Figure fixed with wooden pins on the square base. Wei Tuo is the 'guardian of the entrance' in the Buddhist temples, the commander of the 'thirty-two celestial generals' and hence one of the most important defenders of the Buddhist faith. A seasoning crack, traces of woodworms on the clouds at the base. Lot accompanied by export license.? Height 14.3 in.
