MUZYKALNAYA NOV [New Musicianship, Issues 1, 2, 10, 12. Moscow and Petrograd: 1923-1924. 31.7 x 23 cm. Illustrated with photogravure plates. Original two-color Constructivist wrappers designed by LIUBOV POPOVA. Wrappers restored.

Although as an artist the equal of any other Constructivist, Liubov Popova died relatively young, only 35 from scarlet fever. Consequently her work is of great rarity. She was a gifted painter who exhibited with Tatlin and Malevich and designed fabrics and for the theater. One of the finest of her later works was her cover design for this influential avant-garde Soviet music journal.
