of round shape, the painted cover features an erotic scene between a young peasant couple, surrounded by amorous animals, black exterior, burgundy interior, diameter: 6.8 cm (2 5/8 in.), height: 1.5 cm (5/8 in.), tempera and varnish over papier-mache, inside cover marked with a gilt Imperial warrant with the cypher of Alexander II, gilt inscription in Cyrillic F. A. L. placed underneath the warrant
