the cavetto painted with an eroticized variation of a popular Troika subject, featuring two peasant girls with a coachman riding a carriage drawn by the two horses, black exterior, diameter: 20.2 cm (8 in.), tempera, gold leaf and varnish over papier-mache, the verso marked with a gilt Imperial warrant with the cypher of Alexander II, gilt inscription in Cyrillic F. A. L. placed underneath the warrant
