the Virgin Mary presented in a scarlet omophorion, holding the Christ Child with two hands and gesturing to the young Saviour with the third, on a richly tooled gilded ground with Neo-Russian ornament. Egg tempera, gold leaf, and gesso on wood panel. Two insert splints on the back. 35.5 x 31 cm (14 x 12 1/4 in.)
