presented in a narrative featuring the scenes leading up to and after the execution of Saint John the Baptist, including the execution and the presentation of the head to Salome, surmounted by an image of Salvator Mundi overseeing the events. Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel with a kovcheg. Two insert splints on the back. 35.3 x 31 cm (13 7/8 x 12 1/4 in.)
