set against a gilt ground, the Virgin holds the smiling Christ Child with her right hand, resting her left hand on her chest, with the third hand emerging from under the drapes of her omophorion. Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel. Two insert splints on the back (both missing). 26.2 x 21.5 cm (10 3/8 x 8 1/2 in.)
