the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child surrounded by a selection of saints and martyrs, the oklad in chased and repousse with ornate rocailles and scrolling foliage, the Virgin`s crown with an additional mounted jeweled crown featuring blue, red purple and translucent stones. Oklad with a dated assayer`s mark, 84 standard. Egg tempera, gold leaf, and gesso on wood panel. 36 x 29 cm (14 1/8 x 11 1/2 in.)
