of rectangular form with canted corners, the top panel set with a miniature enameled painting of a courtier and a lady, the background of the central panel with a guilloched ground featuring a sunburst pattern covered by translucent Prussian blue enamel, the bottom and side panels burnished to a mirror finish and inlaid with white champleve enamel in a lattice pattern, all panels with a surrounding border featuring chased flowers, length: 8.5 cm (3 3/8 in.), marked on the interior, additionally stamped with a number on the inside fitting, 109.7 g.
