The staircase with a hand-forged slanted foliate design wrought-iron handrail together with a hand-forged wrought-iron balustrade originally mounted on a gallery at the top of the library staircase, with an overall scrolling foliate design centering a flowerhead. Each associated bookcase with adjustable shelves, fluted stiles with acanthus-carved capitals and a scrolling foliate-carved single base drawer with cast-iron drop pulls (Bookcases: 83 1/4in. x 29in. x 26 1/2in.)
