Colours on paper. Northern India, Kashmir, mid 19th cent.
A fine and slightly stylized miniature painting, the leaves in particular are very detailed. One page may possibly depict the chrysanthemum indicum, or a different species. The blue leaves on the flower depicted on the second page may possibly hint to a tall-stemmed variety of gentiana with multiple blossoms.
