Jade. China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)
Small, cup-shaped vessel with big dragon handles. Lightly lobed, hexagonal form, also seen in the flared foot. On the rim, borders with leiwen meander ("thunder pattern"). Striking are the large, angular heads of the horned dragons, which are crafted in an archaic style; the bodies are smooth, footless and with curls. Very good translucense with milky-cloudy, green-grey tone.
