The upright sides divided into ten bracket-shaped lobes with radiating ribs on the interior and flaring at the rim, the center painted with a medallion enclosing a writhing five-clawed dragon amid lingzhi-shaped cloud scrolls, the exterior with ten quatrefoil panels enclosing alternately leaping and plunging dragons, with another writhing dragon painted ant the base, the underglaze cobalt-blue of rich midnight-blue color with areas of 'heaping and piling', the glaze with a slight bluish tint, the unglazed footrim neatly cut to conforming lobed shape, 6.9 inch diameter.
