拍品描述: Mahogany Weight Driven Banjo Clock. 7.5 in. painted iron dial inscribed “No. 5 – Aaron Willard”, has black Roman hour numerals with gilt and black borders, black painted hands; typical brass 8 day spring driven movement with long steel pendulum rod, brass covered bob, brass pulley and lead weight. In a mahogany banjo style case lead eagle finial, brass door bezel with convex glass, pierced brass side arms, carved lower bracket and gilt carved throat and lower door; reverse painted tablet and throat glass. Case is refinished, has splits and repairs, extra holes behind the dial, throat glass repainted, inpainting in tablet, weight and baffle replaced, repair to eagle’s wing. 39.5 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 18.75 lbs.
