拍品描述: Oak “Ideal Soprano” Cylinder Music Box. Oak cylinder music box by Mermod Freres of St. Croix, Switzerland case has a filigree carved front panel and drawer in the base containing 2 extra cylinders, decorative side handles, exterior crank on the right side, celluloid panel under the lid reads “Ideal Soprano, Any Number of Cylinders, can be obtained for this box”; interior has a hinged glass paneled dust cover, with Stop-Play lever. Spring driven mechanism plays 20 in. long x 3.5 in. dia. cylinders, 6 tune Change-Repeat indicator, Jacot’s patent “Safety Check” lever, speed regulator. Case is in nice overall condition, original finish, working with excellent sound; signed with Jacot & Son, New York retailers tag. Measures: 13 in. high x 41 in. wide x 19 in. deep
