拍品描述: Farcot French Industrial Animated Mantle Clock. 3.25 in. porcelain dial with stylized Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed with Farcot anchor & shield trademark, has a separate spring driven movement in the top with countwheel strike mechanism which powers the animated windmill blades through an half hour strike on a coiled gong. In a spelter case in the form of a windmill with figure standing at the balcony, sign on the front reads “Moulin Joly”. In good condition, as found, has a dirty gilt finish, time mechanism is not running, animated and strike mechanism is functional but needs some cleaning and adjustment, missing weathervane finial. 16 in. high x 5.75 in. wide x 6.25 in. deep. Weight: 9.25 lbs.
