拍品描述: Federal Mahogany Winged Griffin Sofa. Mahogany crest rail rolled back at the top, convex curling carved filigree sides and high padded arms rolled over at the top; the arm fronts are figural carved dolphins with tails pointing up and their heads continuing down into the seat rail, filigree and shell carvings in the center. Stands on excellent figural carved winged griffin legs with serpent-like scrolling tails and heads pointing down forming the legs of the sofa. Has an overcoated medium red-brown finish, in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. 36.5 in. high x 74 in. wide x 27 in. deep.
